On April 26, 2024, SAIT held their annual traditional powwow presented by the Office of Indigenous Engagement & Natoysopoyiis. Sorrel Rider, drum group from Siksika, was the host drum group for the event which kicked off with a 1:00 PM grand entry. The event featured dancers in all categories, a give-away ceremony and an Indigenous Market that brought out many local vendors to showcase their small businesses. Refreshments were provided along with an activity center for the children. Many community members of Siksika were in attendance along with the drum groups that represented Siksika Nation.
