Honouring Growth and Healing: Men’s Warrior Program Graduation Ceremony

On Friday, June 20th, the Siksika Nation came together to celebrate a profound moment of growth, healing, and cultural reconnection — the Men’s Warrior Program graduation ceremony, coordinated by Frank Sitting Eagle.

Hosted under the guidance of the White Buffalo Healing Lodge, this special event marked the successful journey of a group of Siksika men who dedicated themselves to walking a healthier, more balanced path rooted in Siksika culture, values, and wellness.

Since its inception, the Men’s Warrior Program has continued to grow, drawing in more participants from the Nation who are seeking not only physical and mental well-being, but also a stronger connection to identity and tradition. The program offers support in areas such as spiritual growth, emotional healing, traditional knowledge, and self-discipline, helping men return to their communities with renewed strength and purpose.

The graduation ceremony was filled with emotion, reflection, and pride. Each graduate stood not only as an individual, but as a symbol of resilience and the power of transformation. With songs, prayers, and messages shared from the heart, the event was a reminder of what’s possible when community, culture, and healing come together.

Frank Sitting Eagle, who has been a guiding force for the program, shared powerful words about the importance of creating safe spaces for men to heal and reclaim their roles as protectors, leaders, and teachers within their families and communities.

This ceremony also showcased the ongoing work of the White Buffalo Healing Lodge, whose commitment to cultural-based programming continues to impact lives in meaningful ways.
