PDD community engagement sessions

Here are some photos from the first day of the PDD community engagement sessions. Siksika Media is grateful for the opportunity to gather, connect, listen, and share important information with our community in a good way. Every survey counts, and your voice truly helps shape supports and services for the future.

Cognitive, physical, sensory, mental health, and developmental disabilities are important, and ensuring strong, respectful supports for all community members matters deeply.

Join them today for the next session at the Siksika Deerfoot Sportsplex on February 11 from 2pm to 5pm—they would love to see you there and continue the conversation together. 💙

Thank you to Ariel Waterchief, Jennifer Spring Chief, Gina manybears, and Melanee cheechoo and everyone else who helped bring these sessions together for our community.

Even a three legged animal community member showed up to take part in the survey! 🐾

Ariel Waterchief shared 🗣️: “please come down to the February 11th session at the Deerfoot Sportsplex in the flexi hall and we are going to be completing the community surveys for the comprehensive quality of life and disability study, which is going to benefit our nation as a whole. We have a lot of fun things for the day and also a lot of opportunities for your input. And we are looking forward to spending time with community.”

Liana Wolfleg shared 🗣️:”This is really informative and I’m glad that they’re not only taking adults into consideration, but those under 18.”
