Oki! On Friday, July 4th, world-renowned Canadian music icon Shania Twain made a special visit to the Siksika Tipis at Elbow River Camp during the Calgary Stampede. Her visit was an opportunity to connect, learn, and experience some of the rich traditions and culture of the Siksika Nation.
Shania spent time with Siksika tipi owners, asking questions, listening to stories, and showing deep respect and appreciation for the culture and history that continues to live on through Elbow River Camp. The visit was a beautiful moment of cultural exchange and community recognition.
A highlight of the day was when Shania took a photo with Miss Siksika Princess 2025/2026, Trinity Pretty Young Man, proudly representing Siksika Nation and its future leaders with grace and dignity.
