Candy Cane Check Stop at the Siksika Arbour!

On December 3rd, Siksika Nation members were greeted with candy canes as a friendly reminder to drive safe and never drink and drive this holiday season.

Also handed out were special treats for the four-legged family members who came along for the ride! Thank you to everyone who stopped by and helped spread holiday safety and community spirit.

Robbi Robinson Shared : “This is an event that public safety spearheaded by siksika justice, court workers. This is the third year we’ve done this. It’s a candy cane check stop to remind the community be mindful of no drinking and driving, and to let their family members know as well. It is a joint effort with, as I stated, Siksika Justice, Siksika Public Safety, the fire ambulance, animal Services, security peace officers, RCMP of all of us, and, you know, we all deal with individuals that may make choices that may put others in danger and again, the message is to remind everybody, please, don’t drink and drive.”
