Siksika Language & Way of life gathering

Siksika Media stopped by to witness and share powerful moments as Elders and community members came together. A heartfelt thank you to Siksika Health, BCHP, Future Generations Foundation, and the Elders Lodge for creating this space and bringing our people together in such a meaningful way. ❤️

Elder Dion Redgun Shared 🗣️: “Sharing stories and laughter with Siksika Elders and community members felt like a warm family reunion, surrounded by relatives and friends who welcomed me with open arms. Hearing the presentations from Dr. Leroy Little Bear and Dr. Roy Bearchief was truly enlightening. I’d like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the organizers, including Elders Floria Duckchief, Larry Waterchief, Councilor Romeo CrowChief, and the dedicated team members from Siksika Health care.”

CEO Angie Parsons Shared 🗣️: “The Language Symposium was such a beautiful and heartfelt day. It meant so much to sit together, listen to our Elders, and feel that connection to our language and to one another. I feel really grateful to everyone who shared, supported, and helped bring this gathering to life. These are the moments that stay with us and gently guide the work we do every day.”

Corrine Anaatsiikanasoyaki Duck Chief Shared 🗣️:“Our time together over these past two days was nothing short of a gift. There was a profound power in the way we shared, connected, and truly listened to one another. We were deeply blessed by the knowledgeable presenters who answered our call; their presence felt like a light, warming our hearts and reigniting our spirits. When we embrace our heritage, we are not just saving traditions; we are nurturing our collective health and the well-being of our entire community.”
