On May 21st, community members gathered at Admin Park in Siksika Nation for a meaningful Buffalo Harvest hosted by Anthem Wolfchild alongside Siksika Prevention Early Intervention. The day brought together families, youth, Knowledge Keepers, and community members to share teachings, stories, and hands-on learning connected to the buffalo and our traditional ways of life.
The buffalo has always held deep cultural and spiritual importance to our people, and gatherings like this help strengthen those connections while passing knowledge on to future generations. From preparation to sharing food and teachings, the harvest was a reminder of the importance of community, respect, and culture.
