On the morning of May 13, runners, Nathan Three Suns, Riley Many Bears, and Sgt. Josh Argue, joining the Red Road Reclamation Relay took off from the Piksapii Memoral Arbour, heading west on highway 901 towards their first stop, the Tsuut’ina Nation. It was a great sendoff starting with encouraging and motivational speeches from Dustin Dick and Bryan Little Chief, who also gave a prayer. The runners were accompanied by Siksika Security, Animal Services, and Peace Officers before parting ways at the Boy Chief Trading Post.
On May 18, the runners were welcomed back at the “Return Home Celebration” that took place at the Iitaisokinaapyoyis Healing Lodge where over 400 people attended to show their support for and celebrate the Red Road Reclamation, One Goal Many Journeys relay.
