The Siksikaitsitapi Powwow at Whoop-Up Days was a celebration of culture, pride, and unity, filling the arena with powerful songs, vibrant regalia, and unforgettable moments. Over two days, dancers, singers, and community members came together to honour tradition and share the spirit of powwow with all who attended.


🌟 Day 1 Highlights

The opening day featured intertribal dances, the Princess Pageant, and the Teens Category. The energy in the arena was full of color, pride, and cultural expression, as youth and leaders alike showcased their strength and spirit in the powwow circle.

It was a beautiful display of the next generation carrying forward traditions while embracing the joy of dance and community.


🙌 Day 2 Highlights

Day 2 celebrated the Powwow Staff Committee — the dedicated team whose hard work and vision made the event possible. The day also highlighted the Adult Dancers, who brought incredible energy, skill, and pride to the circle. Their performances showed the depth of tradition and the power of dance to bring people together.

A huge shoutout goes to the committee and staff for creating such a well-organized and inspiring powwow for everyone to enjoy.
